Deleting your Dropbox account is permanent and can only be done through a browser, not the mobile app. You can delete your Dropbox account from the General page of your account settings on Dropbox. The item “Dropbox” can’t be moved to the Trash because some of its plugins are in use. I have already tried to remove it using this link to Dropbox help, remove manually by searching through Library files and and tried using the terminal command line sudo rm -rf /. Tried looking through some of the other topics but have not been able to.
Hello -
I'm trying to delete Dropbox from my Mac. I get an error message kindly letting me know that the program cannot be deleted because extensions are in use. I've quit the program from the task bar (upper right-hand corner) and made sure it's not an extension in Safari. Where else should I go?
Please and thank you!
Sarah
